HYDROSEEDING

Hydro-seeding is a process in which seed, water, fertilizer, amendments and recycled fiber mulches are mixed together and sprayed directly on the ground. During this application, the ground is seeded, fertilized and mulched by utilizing a proven, unique system to Pro-West Services since 1992. The blanketing of the sprayed mulch coats and creates a "greenhouse" effect on the soil's surface. This environment is the perfect place for rapid, even germination. These mulches eventually break down and add nutrients to the soil.

RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL LAWNS

The result is a lush, green and deeply rooted lawn that you can only get with a hydro-seeded lawn that is the envy of sod and seed only contractors, yet is accomplished with a fraction of the cost and time of an installed sod lawn.

COMMERCIAL HYDROSEEDING DIVISION

Our commercial equipment works from Victoria to Campbell River, the Okanagan Valley and the Lower Mainland.

GOLF COURSES

We have been fortunate to have worked with some of the top golf course construction companies in the world right here in western Canada. These projects have ranged from renovation of fairways and bunker faces to complete golf course hydro-seeding, including fairways, tee boxes, rough areas and native grasses. Bear Mountain, James Island, Cowichan, Cliffs at Maple Bay, Fairwinds, and Eaglecrest are just some of the golf courses we have worked with in the past.

EROSION CONTROL

Our commercial hydro-seeding equipment can handle severe off-road locations and steep roadside re-vegetation, ditch line reclamation, temporary erosion control for construction and development projects for winter protection. Rapid germination seed varieties and quick establishment are key factors in these conditions. We have developed our own primary varieties and specialty seed blends for every imaginable condition and circumstance. Site surveys and consultation with clients on-site ensure that Pro-West can efficiently and successfully handle any job shown to us.
